Profil katedry

The Department educates experts in the field of Applied Mechanics with a focus on the field of applied structural mechanics. The main emphasis is placed on theoretical analysis, development and creation of computational models of building structures, their solution by modern computational methods and experimental analysis of these structures in the application of progressive diagnostic methods. At the same time, it participates in the education of professionals in other study programmes by teaching the theoretical foundations of civil and transport engineering structures and the necessary mathematical basis for each successfully completed graduate usable in practice. The quality theoretical basis provides excellent prerequisites for further studies of our students, as well as for the application of graduates of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Žilina in research and practice.
Publication activity of the department staff presents the results of their theoretical and experimental research in the field of static and especially dynamic problems related to building structures, their load-bearing elements and continuum, in the field of applied mathematics, differential equations, commutative algebra and geometry.The cooperation of the department with practice represents solutions of unique and specific development tasks and problems of the transport and construction sectors as one of the few research and professional workplaces in Slovakia.

Prípravné kurzy pre prvákov Bc

Milí študenti prvého ročníka bakalárskeho štúdia na SvF UNIZA,

stále máte možnosť prihlásiť sa na prípravné kurzy, ktoré Vám uľahčia nástup na štúdium v rámci predmetov matematika, metódy zobrazovania a statika stavebných koštrukcií.
Obhajoby grantových projektov

V piatok 24. januára 2025 sa uskutočnili obhajoby grantových projektov v rámci výziev rektora č. 2/2023. Do tejto výzvy sa zúčastňujú študenti druhého stupňa vysokoškolského štúdia, ktorí prinášajú výsledky svojich výskumných aktivít. Za Stavebnú fakultu boli predložené štyri projekty, z ktorých tri vznikli pod záštitou Katedry stavebnej mechaniky a aplikovanej matematiky.
Najlepšie umiestnenie za fakultu dosiahol Bc. Filip Durčák a Adriana Langerová , ktorých projekt len teraz unikol tretiemu miestu, a to o dve stotiny bodu.

Nová docentka na katedre!

Dňa 4. júla prebehla v zasadacej miestnosti vedeckej rady habilitačná prednáška a obhajoba habilitačnej práce.
Naša kolegyňa Ing. Zuzana Papánová, PhD. tak úspešne obhájila titul docent pred členmi vedeckej rady stavebnej fakulty.
Habilitačná práca sa zaoberala technickou seizmicitou indukovanou vybranými zdrojmi stavebnej mechanizácie.

Spolupráca so Slovenskou akadémiou vied - Ústav stavebníctva a architektúry

Katedra spolupracuje so SAV USTARCH. Aktívne zapája študentov do výskumných aktivít, pričom experimentálny výskum je využívaný pre práce ŠVOČ, bakalárske a diplomové práce.
